Oregon Walleye Fishing
Walleye are not native to Oregon but after being introduced into the Columbia they have flourished. Many people predict the the next worlds record Walleye will come from the Columbia River.

The definition of Walleye should be "ugly but delicious". These fish have some of the tastiest meat of any fish and make an awesome fish taco.
Walleye can grow to over 20 pounds but most are in the 3-5 pound range and are found throughout the Columbia River.
There is knack for catching Walleye as they can be a bit finicky. Once you get the hang of it them bringing lots of them to the boat is not a problem.
If you have never been Walleye fishing then you are in for a treat. They don't fight like a Salmon or Steelhead but what they lack in fight they make up in volume.
